We’re led in this endeavor by Dr. Marina Kurian, a New York native and world renowned bariatric surgeon, who specializes in the treatment of patients suffering from obesity and its related health issues.
Dr. Kurian’s goal: To help each patient achieve their individual weight-loss and wellness goals while encouraging an environment of warmth and caring that’s evident in everything we do.
Dr. Kurian’s dedication to her patients goes beyond the NYMIS offices. She authored “Weight Loss for Dummies” with a foreword by her patient Al Roker and hosts a weekly radio show on SiriusXM.
Dr. Kurian was the principal investigator for using adjustable bands to treat morbid obesity and co-investigator for vagus nerve stimulation in obesity treatment.
